Growing the output of raw materials was one of the highest priorities in post-war Soviet Union, be it coal, steel, aluminium, cement etc. Consequently, artists were encouraged and commisioned to depict the plans and the feats in the mining industry in the art.

This exhibition shows works by artists Masabihk Akhunov, Ivan Tsarevich, Oleg Savostyuk, Boris Uspensky, Dmitrii Minkov, Boris Sholokhov, and Vitalii Davydov.
